“M3TG stuck out to me because they brought with them a well-defined methodology. From the get-go,
they had a script to follow and knew exactly what they were doing every step of the way.”

Case Studies

M3TG is proud to announce a new engagement with Federal Mogul Corporation (FMC). FMC is an innovative and diversified $6.3 billion global supplier of quality products, trusted brands and creative solutions to the automotive, light commercial, heavy-duty truck, off-highway, agricultural, marine, rail and industrial markets and also provides a range of products and services to aftermarket customers. With primary corporate offices in Southfield, Michigan and Manchester, UK; the company has more than 150 facilities in 35 countries and employs approximately 50,000 people.

FMC was paying too much money per month per user under at distributed model to support the Lotus Notes platform, and had significant concerns over the future direction of the Notes/Domino platform. In addition, the customer was experiencing large amounts of system downtime impacting the enterprises’ most mission critical application – email.

M3TG was contacted by FMC and requested to respond to the FMC Messaging RFP submitted to market. FMC was looking to move away from the current highly distributed Lotus Notes solution to a centralized and highly available Exchange 2007 platform utilizing CCR to achieve a major reduction in server and operating expenses, increase performance, elevate support standards, and standardize processes.

M3TG worked with Microsoft and Quest Software to properly evaluate FMC’s current needs and future technology adoption needs. We plan to develop an Exchange solution that meets the following goals:

  • Empower FMC to leverage remote management for superior support and reduced downtime
  • Protect FMC by ensuring data redundancy utilizing Exchange 2007 CCR
  • Solve specific business needs with Exchange 2007 and prepare for future UC/UM strategic initiatives
